Veterans Access Choice, and Accountability Act
The Veterans Access Choice and Accountability Act (VACAA) went into effect November 5, 2014. Many Veterans now have the option to receive non-VA health care through the Choice Program.
Manchester VA Medical Center (Manchester VAMC) is proud to announce a dedicated Veterans Choice Program Support Office for the purpose of providing New Hampshire Veterans with a greater understanding of the Choice Program.
Veterans, their loved ones as well as our community partners and interested parties are now provided with enhanced support through a newly dedicated Choice Program Support Office. Our dedicated Choice Program Support Office is open Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m., and is co-located at the Manchester VA on the 1st Floor, Room N135 with the Eligibility Office.
Manchester’s new Choice Program Support Office works collaboratively with Health Net Federal Services which administers the Veterans Choice Program for New Hampshire and Vermont Veterans. Veterans interested in using Choice should continue to seek authorization by calling the Choice Program Call Center at 1-866-606-8198. The Manchester VAMC Choice Program Support Office will assist Veterans with questions related to eligibility, understanding the program or with new processes.
If you have questions about the Veterans Choice, Access and Accountability Act, please contact Manchester VA Medical Center’s Choice Program Support Office. Choice Champions are available at: VAMCMANCHOICE@va.gov or 800-892-8384, when you hear Welcome enter extension 2820.
The Choice Program is not managed locally at the Manchester VA Medical Center. VA has contracted with a Third Party Administrator (TPA) to manage overall operations of the program: Includes mailing of cards, authorization for care and claims processing.
The TPA for New England States is Health Net Federal Services. They can be reached at: 1-866-606-8198.
